I have been completely swamped this week at work so I will not be typing a lot of WORDS for this post. I will however be posting lots of PICTURES so you don't really care, right?
I am so lacking in the sleep department right now that I am even more clumsy than usual if that is even humanly possible. I am 100% klutz.
River is doing very well. She is an absolutely horrible sleeper though. She can sleep in her crib now without really doing anything to get her to go to sleep. Half the time she doesn't even need a bottle to fall asleep which is hopefully a sign that she will start sleeping through the night soon. (Please God) After about 3-4 hours in the crib she wakes up starving, I mean eat your face off starving! She will drink a bottle and immediately go back to sleep. Sounds good right? Except the hours between 1AM and 5AM is restless sleeping time. Half of the time she can go to bed without her binker. By the time whe wakes up for her first bottle she has to have it to go back to sleep. Except it just keeps falling out of her mouth when she relaxes and that wakes her up. Do you see where this is going? Do you feel like taping it to her mouth too?
I asked her pediatrician how long it will take her to figure out how to put the binker back in her own mouth and they said within the next month or so. She is definitely showing improvement in the daytime. Although she usually puts in in backwards or upside down, she is getting in her mouth. River has no patience at night. Their is no waiting period for a bottle or a binker so will she ever have the patience to look for it in the night? We are thinking of loading her bed up with binkers so that she will find at least one to stick in her mouth before critical mass is reached.
All complaining aside I have to say that she is a joy. The girl has a sense of humor and is just a happy baby.
Now here is what you really came for: :)

She is so adorable! I love her big eyes. Elijah is sleeping through the night and has been since about 2 months old. Kevins sister told us about torture time, which i know sounds horrible but it really worked. We kept him up from 5-8 (or 3 hrs from when you want her to go to bed)which he didn't like at all but no matter what we didn't let him fall asleep, and it was torture for us b/c he would cry, but after about 2 weeks, he didn't cry anymore, and he knows when its his bedtime. I don't know if you are interested in trying, it is just a suggestion, b/c I couldn't imagine going to work all day, and not getting enough sleep, but we've known quite a few people it has worked for.
Simply adorable Jo. Bring her to me... You can nap and I will play with her toes...
Jo, I am with Cathy, bring her to me, and I will let you sleep and sleep...rubbing my hands together in glee...Bet she loves having her toes naked...
I also would really think about The suggestion from Elijah's Mom, it is worth a try.
Love the pictures, Love You all more, MOM/MEMAW
Who decided that River's "BFF" should be named Carter. She is obviously very clever and if she could talk, don't you think she'd come up with something like, oh maybe, Little Sandy? You know like the Little Sandy River that is close to our house? Then it would be "Little Sandy" & River.....Just think about it....
Love you guys!!!!!
I wouldn't mind having a few of those yummy bon bons myself. If you ever need to get out of KY, bring the family to MT. Would love to take her off your hands for a little while :0)
