Thanksgiving 08

River's first Thanksgiving with solid food was a hit. A huge difference from last year! The turkey has yet another big fan. . or enemy depending on whether or not you ask the opinion of your average turkey. I also discovered that River, like her daddy, enjoys cranberry sauce! No longer will I be the sole champion of the beautiful berry of the bog! Yet another reason to be Thankful.
.
There are many.
.
Jo, River and I hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
.

" Got my special fork and spoon. Where's the turkey?"
.

"Got my special Thanksgiving Bib! Is the food ready yet?"

(It reads "Grandma's Little Gobbler")

.

Over the river and through the woods
To Grandmother's house we go
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh
Through white and drifted snow

Over the river and through the woods
Oh how the wind does blow
It stings the toes and bites the nose
As over the ground we go

Over the river and through the woods
To Grandmother's house we go
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh
Through white and drifted snow

Over the river and through the woods
Oh how the wind does blow
It stings the toes and bites the nose
As over the ground we go

Over the river and through the woods
And through the barnyard gate
We seem to go extremely slow
It is so hard to wait

Over the river and through the woods
Now Grandmother's cap I spy
Hooray for the fun
Is the pudding done?
Hooray for the pumpkin pie
Hooray for the fun
Is the pudding done?
Hooray for the pumpkin pie
Hooray!
.
.

" YUM!"
