Nap Time/Rebooting

River has entered another growth spurt and is prone to long periods of deep napping. It's nothing for her to play really hard for a few hours, eat a big meal and then go comatose for up to 14 hours. This can happen a couple times a week. It's really freaky. The first time it happened Jo and I called our mothers to see if this was normal. They said it was but we still retraced our steps and read labels to see if we might have poisoned her. All the while River just kept sawing teeny-tiny logs and making her little snoring sounds.
.
We're getting better at this but it's still odd. The strangest thing we've noticed is that you can actually see the change in her immediately after one of her marathon sleep sessions. She will begin to use new words or become more sophisticated in some physical/motor skill way. Sometimes she even looks more grown up when she wakes up. It's almost like adding new software to a computer and rebooting it afterward. If this keeps up until April she may be doing our taxes for us.

She looks so sweet, and of course there is her BFF Carter to keep her company. Hope she dreams of me sometimes, I miss her so...
