Like a Squirrel in a Nut Factory

Sunday, before the Tea Party, we took River to Toys R'Us for the first time. Jo wanted to pick up some toys that didn't require batteries. Simple toys that only required good ol' fashioned imagination. Despite our best intentions, we noticed that River was drawn mostly to the big ticket items with all the gee-wiz bells and whistles. This revelation made me wish that the store would also sell Rolaids or Tums. It was a lot of fun, however, to just let her run amok. . and that's just what she did.

.

"I want some of these! Can I have some of these?"

"Would do you think Mommy? Hippo or Bear? Why choose? Can I has both?

". . oh, and can I has a hog? Pretty please? I want to be like Cindy!"

"And this too! It would be great in snow! Pretty please!"
.

"NEVER MIND! I JUST WANT THE HORSE!"

And after the toy store and Tea Party we naturally went to Bob Evans. .

.

again. .

.

. . where River proceeded to give herself a mashed potato Pompadour. (Yes. That's mashed potatoes.).

Toys R US is a personal favorite of mine too!
You look really good sitting on the motorcycle! Let's play it safe for now and stick with the overstuffed animals for a while. lol
